Schedule a Trip

​ICATS vans travel throughout Iredell County daily. ICATS also provides out of county medical trips on the following schedule:

◦ Monday - Charlotte
​◦ Tuesday - Salisbury/Concord
​◦ Thursday - Winston-Salem
​◦ Friday - Hickory/Conover

Approved riders must scheduled reservations at (704) 873-9393, between the hours of 6 am and 3 pm Monday through Friday. Trips must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advanced and can be scheduled up to one month in advance. If you use TDD, call (800) 735-2962 and ask to be connected to (704) 873-9393. For a translator, call (800) 821-3420.

General Guidelines for Riding
  • Cancel unnecessary reservations at least 2 hours before the reservation time
  • Reservations not cancelled trips 2 hours prior to the reservation time, will be considered a "No Show". A passenger with 3 "No Shows" will be suspended for 30 days
  • Passengers living within the city limits of the destination city must be ready 1 hour before the scheduled drop-off time
  • Passengers travelling between cities must be ready 2 hours before the drop-off time. The driver can arrive any time within this pickup window
  • Passengers have five minutes to board after the van arrives
  • Please advise if you need a lift equipped vehicle, will be accompanied by an escort, or have a guest at the time the reservation is made
  • Drivers are not allowed to take reservations for passengers
  • Human Service Agencies must complete a Reservation Form on behalf of their clients and fax to (704) 873-8125 or email to ICATSReservations@iredell.co.nc.us

What is needed to Schedule a Trip

  • Street address of the passenger  ◦ 48 Hour Notice REQUIRED
  • Name of the passenger
  • Telephone number of passenger
  • Date of the appointment
  • Time of the appointment
  • Return time (two hours automatically scheduled if return time is not known/provided)
  • Destination name and street address of where the passenger needs to go
  • Type of assistive device used (wheelchair, walker, cane)
