Sherriff Darren Campbell stated: On Thursday, November 2, 2023, Deputy C. Wilson of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team received an anonymous tip about Jacob Lee Mitchell using and selling methamphetamine at his residence on Bristol Drive. When looking into Mitchell it was found out that he was currently on probation. Deputy Wilson then made contact with Probation Officer S. Duangsawat and they responded to the residence and met with Mitchell. After speaking briefly with Mitchell, a search of his residence was conducted. As a result of the search, marijuana, and methamphetamine were located along with items of drug paraphernalia.
Mitchell was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was brought before Magistrate Callejas and issued a 7,500.00 dollar secured bond.
